Saad al Abdullah Al Salem Al Sabah,1929-2008
The former Amir, Sheikh Saad Al Abdullah Al Salem Al Sabah has passed
away following a long bout of illness. An illustrious leader who played a great role in the development of Kuwait and its rebuilding after the liberation of the country from occupying forces. An alumnus of Hendon Police College, the late Amir played an important role in setting up the interior and defense ministries.
The Government has declared a 3 day period of mourning.
May the Almighty grant rest to his soul.
